Abundance is one of my favorite things to talk about because I know first hand that it serves as a great equalizer for any lack that we have experienced in life.
Lack can show up in a host of ways but one of the most stark ways I see lack in people's lives is as a result of poverty and trauma.
Any form of lack has the power to create scarcity. Scarcity prevents us from seeing the beauty in ourselves and the beauty in the world.
The way we counter scarcity is by focusing on abundance. As the saying goes, whatever we focus on is what expands.
In other words, we can chose to focus on the ills of the world, the ways we are imperfect, the things that are not going well in our lives, and so on and so forth, or we can focus on being grateful for what we have right now and what we desire while working in alignment towards that.
From this place we can manifest things we want (and many things we don't even know we want :)) while experiencing joy, peace, and power.
This in no way is about toxic positivity. But what it is about is being mindful of what we think, what we are consuming. Because what we consume, we ultimately become.
So I invite you to be honest with yourself about what you're consuming and the impact of that consumption on your head and your heart.
We have on average 60,000 thoughts a day. Most of these thoughts are automatic and unconscious.
The only way to become conscious of our thoughts is to think about what we're thinking about (and consuming) as in the words of Joyce Meyer.
To interrupt those moments when the words we speak about ourselves and others are not rooted in love.
To replace the consumption of things that make us feel bad with things that inspire us, enlighten us, that help us to grow into the person we truly want to be.
This is why I'm elated about our final episode of the Trauma & Healing podcast series inspired by my book Me Too: A Therapist's Journey to Heal, Find Liberation, & Joy.
I'm joined by the one and only Tina Lifford who I loved instantly when I saw her fiercely embodying Aunt Vi as only she could, on one of my all time favorite shows, Queen Sugar. But Tina has been in the game as an actress, playwright, and the like for a long time. She has also been a spiritual advisor for more than twenty years and has manifested expansive things in her life that will blow your mind.
All twelve episodes on the line up are fire, but baby I really did save the best for last.
We will be talking about all things abundance and manifestation, and when you hear about her journey, it will make you want to go out and start manifesting all the things with the Source given power that we were all born with. Listen right now here and please, please, please share this with every single person you know!
And when you're done, make sure you pick up my book here! There is an entire chapter dedicated to the power of abundance. I promise you, that chapter alone will change your life.
Let's get this abundance y'all,
